Reporting live from my last day at Books-a-million. Sad and happy to be leaving at the same time. I'll miss the people, but not the job itself. I do have to get through this shift before I'm done though. I really hope I get to bitch out an asshole customer.

Oh, the unrequited joy in serving a REAL cappuccino to an unsuspecting smug asshole. Little does he know that, despite his obvious lack of manners and common courtesy, he has just made my day. Once again, I thank the univers for karma.

Soo...I really like this whole blogging via text thing. It keeps me entertained and gives my super-random thoughts somewhere to go w/out bothering my co-workers:)

For anyone reading- if there is anyone- I do most of these from my workplace, "Joe Muggs", the cafe in Books-A-Million, where I am a....corporate barista, if you will.

Manager takes a smoke break every five minutes. Same manager bitches when we stand around for 2 minutes to discuss a problem. Opinions? (that is, of course, if anyone even reads this)

Well it's official. I made it through all 3 of my days off without being called in! This is a miracle. I feel so refreshed. I work 7 days in a row last week, had one day off then returned for 2 more days. I was certain I would get called in, but I guess miracles do happen!

So! I'm back and things have changed, so say goodbye, all you imaginary loyal fans of mine, to the old me and say hello to the new me! I've been through quite a bit the past couple years and now have a new outlook on life. So here I am all new and improved in my humble opinion, and I'm ready to start anew! I look forward to the possibility of gaining some readers and sharing my thoughts with the web world.
